NT building regulator: Building Practitioners Board

    Last updated 6 Jun 2026

The Building Practitioners Board registers building practitioners in the Northern Territory under the Building Act 1993 (NT), with building advisory services supporting the system.

Check or apply for registration, or get information: call 1800 193 111 or use the Building Practitioners Board website.

Building work needs a building permit issued by a building certifier against the National Construction Code, separate from practitioner registration.
