Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC): contact

    Last updated 6 Jun 2026

The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) licenses builders and trade contractors in Queensland, administers the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme, sets the Minimum Financial Requirements (MFR), and handles building disputes.

Check a licence, lodge a complaint, or get advice: call 139 333 or use the QBCC website.

Most building work above the licensing threshold needs a licensed contractor; building approval is via a building certifier against the National Construction Code.
