WorkSafe ACT: contact, what they enforce, and how to report

    Last updated 6 Jun 2026

WorkSafe ACT is the work health and safety regulator for the Australian Capital Territory, administering the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (ACT).

Report an unsafe workplace or get advice: call 13 22 81.

Notifiable incident — report immediately: a death, serious injury or illness, or a dangerous incident must be reported to WorkSafe ACT straight away and the scene preserved. Check the WorkSafe ACT website for the notification line and online form.

WorkSafe ACT runs inspections, issues improvement and prohibition notices, and supports health and safety representatives. The ACT also has additional construction-sector requirements, so check what applies to your site.
