GST calculator — add it on, or pull it out.

For tradies who need the GST on a quote or invoice in seconds. Add 10% to a price, or work out the GST already inside a GST-inclusive figure.

    Sound familiar?

    • “You quoted a price and then weren't sure if GST was on top or already in it.”
    • “A client asked for the 'plus GST' figure and you did the maths wrong in your head.”
    • “You're near $75k turnover and not sure if you have to register.”

    What this tool does

Adds 10% GST to a GST-exclusive price, or extracts the GST from a GST-inclusive amount (divide by 11). Shows the ex-GST, GST and inc-GST figures.

💡 On a tax invoice, show the GST amount (or state that the total includes GST). If a supplier doesn't quote an ABN, you generally have to withhold 47% — that's separate from GST.

    What the law actually says

    • GST is 10% on most goods and services. The GST inside a GST-inclusive price is the price divided by 11.
    • You must register for GST once your turnover reaches $75,000.00 (or you expect it to). Once registered, you charge GST, claim credits on purchases, and lodge a BAS.
    • Guidance only, not financial advice.
