Get a Safe Work Method Statement done in 10 minutes, not a weekend.

For sole traders and site supervisors sick of being asked for a SWMS the morning the job starts. Trade-specific hazards, controls and PPE pre-filled.

A SWMS (Safe Work Method Statement) identifies the hazards on a high-risk job, the risks they create, and how you'll control them. You need one before you start high-risk construction work, and most principal contractors won't let you on site without it.

Pick your trade and we'll pre-populate the hazards, PPE and work sequence for you. Edit to match your specific job, preview for free, download the PDF. No charge, no signup.

"Your principal contractor doesn't care who made your SWMS. They care that you have one. Now you do."

    What the law actually says

    • A SWMS is required before any high-risk construction work (HRCW) under the WHS Regulations — work above 2 m, near traffic or mobile plant, in excavations over 1.5 m, on or near energised electrical, demolition, confined spaces and more.
    • It must identify the hazards and risks, set out the control measures and safe work sequence, be on site, be followed, and be reviewed if things change. The principal contractor will usually ask for it before you start.
    • Guidance only — confirm against Safe Work Australia and your state's WHS regulator.
